Erin Carter is currently working at the Brain Education for Kids Center in New York City helping to expand their amazing outreach program supporting Brain Education Programs in over 70 schools in New York City.  She has been teaching Brain Education principles and practices to children, parents and teachers for over 5 years.  Her accomplishments include acting as trainer and school consultant to the Germaine Lawrence School as they incorporated the Brain Education practices and principles into their curriculum.  She taught Brain Education at the Walker Home and School in Needham, and has developed numerous mind-body centering programs for families and teachers.     

In 1999, she began studying a variety of yoga and dance styles, and finally found what she was looking for in the principles and practices of Brain Education for Enhanced Learning.  Prior to finding her path with Brain Education Erin worked as a learning specialist with children in the Boston Public Schools, and also taught Children’s dance and yoga at various after-school programs, summer camps, and community centers. She graduated from Prescott College with a degree in Dance, Movement, and Community Studies, with a minor in Peace Studies.  In addition, Erin is a certified instructor of Dahn Yoga and Dahn Healing Systems and an Advanced Dahn Mu Do martial arts teacher.

 Erin is excited to share Brain Education, Yoga and Dahn Mu Do with the community at Roots to Wings Yoga and Healing Center. At this time of rapid change, she sees these experiences as tools through which children, parents and teachers can stay grounded in who they are, continuously building confidence in their own unique gifts, and cultivating strength to bring these gifts into our world.
